Here's a security mounting plate which can be used with many of the change machines that are using a MARS upstack bill acceptor. This can be a great help in seriously decreasing vandalism damage to the bill acceptor. Recent vandalism to many of these change machines has totally destroyed the bill acceptors. This heavy duty stainless steel security mounting plate cuts down the bill opening to the minimum possible. The stainless steel makes it a great option for both indoor and outdoor change machines. Potential damage to bill acceptor is greatly lessened by cutting down the amount of bill acceptor that can be damaged. This limited damage will mean that its practical to repair damaged acceptor in most cases. A mere $80 can save a lot of expense later !
This bracket is made to work with the upstack, small nose Mars mask. This mounting bracket requires two small holes be drilled in the front plastic of the Mars nosepiece in most cases. Some small cabinets, such as AC1001, AC1002, EC100, use a similar bracket to what's shown above; but is painted steel.
